Having a presence on the internet in today’s marketplace is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity!  Your customers are online and you and your business must also be to remain competitive.    

Before jumping in with both feet, below is a list of the Top 5 Most Common Mistakes made by new online marketers.  Be aware of these mistakes and avoid making them yourself.   

#1 – NO CLEAR ONLINE STRATEGY PLAN

“If you don’t know where you’re going, you may end up somewhere else”.  Like any other aspect of our business, you’ll need a strategic plan to guide you through to your desired results.  There are so many marketing options available online today, invest some time researching to determine a clear plan that works with your budget and goals.

#2 – UNCLEAR TARGET MARKET

If you are not targeting the ‘right’ people for your niche, you’re wasting valuable time and money. The more specific you’re marketing, the better conversion rates you will have and the more income you will create.

#3 – DOING IT ALL ALONE 

Don’t do it alone!  Find yourself a mentor, coach, online community or group to learn from.  Connect with a consultant to guide you through the process.  This will save you an immense amount of time and frustration from having to figure everything out on your own.

#4 – SPAMMING THE SOCIAL NETWORKS

“Sharing” your business opportunity, websites, links, product or service all over your social networks is considered SPAM.  Spamming is the best way to kill any potential business or relationships you could have created. Instead, use your social networks as they are intended…to socialize and share great information.

#5 – NOT PROVIDING VALUE

What is VALUE? Value means sharing great content, providing a solution, a training, tip or information that your followers would find inspirational, entertaining and beneficial to their business or life. What value can you provide to your followers online today?

1. Right click on him and save as Picture

2. Go to your WP Dashboard and open a New Post

3. Click on Upload/Insert image

4.  Save in your media files

5. (In the media file) Change the URL link to your Twitter profile and click upload

6.  Go back to your New Post, Click on Upload Image, find Twitter bird from your media file and insert!

7.  Change Post from Visual to HTML

8.  Copy contents from the HTML Post (right click)  

9. Go to Widgets (under Appearance), grab a text box and place it where you want your Twitter bird to go.

10. Paste in Text box on Sidebar and waaa-laaa!  Update/Publish.  You did it!

11. Make sure your link works!

Are You E-Volving?

tornado Are You E Volving?The stirring in my gut usually tells me when I’m NOT walking in my purpose.  When I’m trying to relax or sleep but can’t because I feel internal stress or uneasyness, it’s my intuition screaming at me, telling me I’m off path.  Hopefully by now, you know yourself well enough to recognize your 6th sense,  known as your intuition to tell you you’re way off balance.

After 5 1/2 years in my network marketing company, working my ass off and showing up for every meeting, training, presentation and leading a team…my 6th sense told me over and over again that there’s got to be an easier way.  It took me a while to realize that my family was suffering as a result of me being so committed to “the system”.  And still a voice in my head, obvious unhappiness and a stirring in my gut persistently reminding me I HAD TO MAKE A CHANGE!

I decide to take my off-line, traditional network marketing business on-line.  Sounds simple, but I wanted to do it right, professionally, in compliance, legally, the whole 9 yards.  In the process, I learned how to become an on-line leader figure and that Self-Branding was imperative.  

Whoa, this is a way more then what I bargained for!  Not only was going on-line new and exciting, but it was also very cumbersome and time consuming.   The stirring in my gut was still present and become very loud one day about 7 months ago on my way to a monthly Small Business networking event.

The challenge was…”WHO AM I”?  I have represented myself as my network marketing company for the past 5 1/2 years and did NOT KNOW WHO THE HECK I WAS.  This is a very common mistake among network marketers, mostly because we don’t know any better.   I knew I could no longer represent myself as my network marketing company because it’s a service that I represent, NOT WHO I AM!

I also could not represent myself as an on-line, Internet marketing guru quite yet.  So, is it ok to just simply say “I am E-Volving”?  Once I physically said it out loud, my voice changed, my demeanor changed, my shoulders relaxed and my gut told me it was exactly what I needed to say.  “I am E-VOLVING”.

On the same note, admitting it out loud to my peers made me feel vulnerable and unsure of how I would be perceived.  Much to my surprise, I was not the only one E-Volving.  Afterward, I was thanked for being authentic and bold.  Isn’t that interesting…

Being in a transitional state in our life or career is temporary, like the seasons and not anything to be ashamed of.  The reality is, that we as human beings, are always evolving in thought, beliefs, feelings, weight icon smile Are You E Volving? and it’s perfectly natural.  So, if you are transitioning, just know you not alone, it is a season in your life or career and embrace it. You’ll be so glad you did.
